To Parents & Guardians,

Welcome to the school year of the 2023/2024. The Parents Council AGM was held in September of this year and both the sitting Chairperson and Secretary stepped down from their roles, which vacated both positions.

A new Chairperson and Secretary were elected, and a new committee was formed for the school year. The first Parents Council meeting for the year was held with Staff members from the school in October. The Parents Council aims to meet 6 times throughout the academic year. (October, November, January, March, April & May)

If you have any concerns or topics related to your child/children within the school, which you feel can be discussed and managed at the Parents Council Meetings please reach out to a Council member. The Parents Council can also be reached by emailing parentscouncil@blessingtoncc.ie.

Throughout this year the Parents Council will continue to raise issues brought to us from the Parent body and work with the school to address these issues appropriately. Another significant focus is fundraising to support the extracurricular activities within the school. These activities add a lot to the school experience for students. Examples of these are, Breakfast Club, Well Read society, School Play, and Subsidizing school excursions.

We would like to sincerely Thank all families for supporting Parents Council initiatives in the past and that we truly appreciate all your donations, particularly in these challenging times, and thank you for your continued support.

I would like to also take this opportunity to thank all the hardworking committee members and I look forward to working with them and the School Team throughout the year.
